Brock Lesnar VS. Fedor Emilianko
Battle of the giants. Newbie, Lesnar defeating Mir for the UFC undisputed heavyweight title seems to have also taken the title of "villian" in the UFC world. His brute strength and unmatched force seems to power over his class. What's next for Lesnar? Dana White made an official statement:
"This whole Fedor thing that has been going on and on and on and on, I keep saying this and that about him, and he keeps waiting. Eventually Fedor's going to be here. I want Fedor. I want him to come to the UFC . . . and we'll end up getting that deal done, and we'll have Brock vs. Fedor and it'll be a huge fight."
Though it would require lots of work and money on both sides of M-1 and UFC to get these giants facing off it would certainly be the match of the century. Half the battlet is convincing Fedor's management to agree to the fight which will result in cross promoting M-1 and having the two organizations compromise into contract terms. Also, this fight might not be too much enticing for Fedor since he's already proven to be a champion on numerous occasions and money is nothing to him. If Fedor agrees, it would certainly be no easy task taming Brock the beast into submission. However, Fedor's submission to victory against 7'2 Man-Choi proves size doesn't matter. This could not only be Lesnar biggest fight ever to prove he is in fact a true MMA champion but the biggest fight so far in MMA history. Lesnar does have potential and showed it over his victory from Randy Couture especially after learning the hard way of submission and not making the same mistake twice against Mir. With your personal feelings aside could Lesnar's extra 50 pound aggression and NCAA dominating wrestling force overpower Fedor's sambo experience, excelling as an all around fighter? Or will the Russian fighter teach the WWE giant a thing about respect through submission? Personally I feel Fedor's biggest chance to win is through submission and not to brawl head to head with Lesnar. Lesnar's way to gurantee a victory is to stay clear of Fedor's grapple on the ground and use his height, reach, and power advantage to pummel his way through. If Fedor wins, he would be considered the uncontested best fighter in MMA history. If the Russians prized poster boy loses, this would certaily be a scar in M-1 history. YOU BE THE JUDGE!
